How Annie

Became a Wilson

This will be a short report tonight as not much happened today. Our paperwork was finished today, including notary documents and Annie's passport. Our guide spent the day retrieving them from various offices and bringing them to our hotel. She spent about 2 1/2 hours standing outside the notary's office in the cold. She goes to great lengths for us!

In the mean time, we spent the morning exploring a different store called Carrefour, which is similar to, but a step up from Walmart. This proved to be a further walk than we thought so Alaina's ankle is a little sore tonight.

After lunch, we put Annie down for a nap while Alaina repacked our luggage for the plane trip to Guangzhou. Thanks to her skillful packing, we will be able to fit everything in our suitcases in spite of the things we've picked up over the last week.

While she was doing this, Dan and Dayna explored a local park that is near the hotel. Dan even got to listen to live traditional Chinese flute music and carried on a very broken English/Chinese conversation with the man between pieces.

The hotel restaurant has baked goods for sale that go on sale for 50% off after 7:30 PM. We took advantage of that and bought an entire cheesecake to share with the other CCAI family in celebration of completing this phase of the trip. I am pretty sure Annie really enjoyed her first taste of cheesecake!

Annie continues to get used to us. She slept a little better last night than the night before, but still woke up a few times during the night. Please pray for a full-night sleep for her.

The Crowne Plaza has been our home for the last week. Please enjoy pictures from our hotel.

Prayer Requests:

• A restful night's sleep for all of us.

• Safe travels to Guangzhou

• The lost toy has still not shown up. Dayna is very sad about it.

• Our computer seems to like to shut down on its own. Please pray it lasts the entire trip.

• Alaina's ankle.

Praises:

• Grateful to be moving on to the next step.
